Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to you today in the name of Jesus to request your help. We’re not entirely sure what to say, but since your word tells us to pray and not to worry, here we are. Thank you for inviting us.
There are a lot of folks in need right now, but there are some that are especially on our minds.
For those who are grieving the loss of a loved one today, we pray that you would give them hope in their grief. Comfort their hearts and minister to them as only you can.
For those that are sick, God, we pray that you will give strength and encouragement. Remind them that you love them and that you are only a prayer away. Touch their bodies, restore their health and may you be glorified someday when they share their recovery story.
For all the healthcare workers we pray that you would grant protection and stamina as they serve the public. Keep them well. Give them wisdom as they diagnose and provide treatment. See to it that they have the equipment and resources they need. And be with their families during their long shifts and sleepless nights. Thank you for the healing that you are doing through their hands. We stand in awe.
For those who are out of work right now and unsure as to how things are going to work out, ease their fears. Assure them that you will make a way in the future just as you have in the past.
And for the decision-makers across the country we ask for clear heads and humble hearts. Remind them to pause and look your direction. Thank you for their leadership and for helping them show such grace under pressure.
Father, we won’t bother pretending that we aren’t a little scared right now, because we are. There are still so many questions, so many what-ifs.
We also won’t pretend that things between us have been what they should’ve been or could’ve been lately. We haven’t given you the love and honor that you deserve. Forgive us for that, please.
Our hearts are open to you. Help us to hear what you are saying to us right now. Help us to not let this opportunity to draw close to you get away from us. Help us to believe that you can bring good even out of the worst of circumstances, even this.
Father, we are trusting you to see us to the other side of this circumstance. In the meantime, please give us the strength to persevere.
With love and gratitude we pray, Amen.
It’s a new day with God. Run with it.

Appreciate that Teresa!! He hears all of them for sure. Thanks for reading and thanks for remembering Pastor John – he’s doing fairly well but it’s difficult at the nursing homes with no visitors allowed. Please pray for him. God bless you!
