My name is Dave and this is just a little bit about me. I’m a simple yet complicated guy who loves Jesus and appreciates every day I get to spend with my wife and family. I’ve been married to a one-of-a-kind gal by the name of Tawnia for 29 years and she and I are blessed to have five terrific kids plus one very cool son-in-law, and a grandson!
I serve as pastor of a great church in a small town in Indiana and nothing brings me more joy than helping people in their relationship with God. Before becoming a pastor, I practiced law. As a lawyer, I discovered the benefit of continuing education and the joys of lifelong learning. Thus, I feel very blessed to have recently completed a Ph D (Talbot Seminary at Biola University), so I can better serve the church.
The title of my dissertation is: THE THERAPEUTIC INFLUENCE OF SELF-DISCLOSURE IN PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN COLLEGE STUDENTS IN THE MIDWESTERN UNITED STATES COPING WITH ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION. I look forward to exploring further research, writing, and publishing opportunities in this space.
One of my spiritual gifts is encouragement. I believe encouragement is something we all need a lot of, and that’s one of the reasons I started Devotions on the Run.
So thanks for reading. I’m truly honored to share with you what God is teaching me.
Blessings,
Dave Adams
